Blueberry Oatmeal Bake
A couple of days ago I made my first Blueberry Oatmeal Bake. Here is how it went…
To try this at home you should use two bowls. This is what goes into bowl #1:
- 2 cups of oatmeal
- 30-40g of sugar (1/3 cup) –> I would vary this according the sweetness of the fruits you’re using. Blueberries are quite sweet in taste, so you might want to cut down on the sugar.
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
Let’s move on to bowl #2:
- 2-3 tbsp of butter (preferably melted), or Stork if you are lactose intolerant like I am
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
- 180ml of milk (or 1 cup), again, I use lactofree milk as a substitute.
Take a whisk and mix these ingredients together before you start to grease a baking dish.
Now, place your blueberries (125mg / small packet) in the baking dish, followed by the oatmeal mixture.
It’s time to pour the milky mix on top of everything. Wait and let it settle evenly.
Heat your oven to 180°-190°C and let the dish bake for 20-25min until its crust is golden brown.
Guten Appetit!
